About GA Registered Agent.org

GA Registered Agent.org is the best and most affordable registered agent in Georgia: $99 a year, the same at renewal.

What we do

The plan covers the following.

Get registered agent representation in Georgia for $99 annually. The price covers the registered office address, same-day scanning of legal documents, and state-deadline alerts.

  • A registered agent of record in Georgia, listed on your state filing.
  • We accept service of process and official state mail on your company's behalf.
  • Service of process and Secretary of State mail are scanned to your online account, with an email to you.
  • Up to 3 other official (legal) letters a year are scanned at no extra charge, for example letters from the IRS.
  • Annual report due-date reminders by email.

How signing up works

Upon enrollment:

  • We provide your registered agent information and Georgia address for your business records
  • If you're changing from another registered agent, order the switch and our team files the Amended Annual Registration (Form CD 920) with the Georgia Secretary of State for you; you pay only the state's $30 fee
  • You receive login credentials for your online document portal
  • We begin receiving and scanning documents immediately

Moving from another registered agent

Change of registered agent to us: $0 our fee + $30 Georgia filing fee = $30. The registered agent service itself is $99/year.

Registered agent service in Georgia: $99/year. It renews automatically each year at $99 unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account.

State fees are shown separately from our fee. We collect them with your order and pay them to the state at cost when we file.

What the plan leaves out

  • A virtual mailbox or mail forwarding. Everyday business mail is charged per piece to view, legal letters beyond the 3 a year are charged per piece, junk mail is discarded and packages are refused.
  • Filing your annual report. That is a separate service with its own fee plus the state's fee.
  • State filing fees of any kind.
  • Forming the company, or any amendment or reinstatement filing.

How mail works here: as your registered agent we take in service of process and official Georgia correspondence for you, and our address can go on your public filings so your own never appears. Mail forwarding is not our business, however. Court papers are scanned free the day they arrive, other documents run $15 each to scan, and postage is charged only when you want the paper copy forwarded.

Georgia rules this covers

A registered agent is a person or business entity authorized to receive legal documents, service of process, and official government correspondence on behalf of your Georgia business. The requirement comes from statute: O.C.G.A. § 14-11-209 governs registered agents for domestic Georgia LLCs, and O.C.G.A. § 14-11-703 applies the same obligation to foreign LLCs authorized to transact business in the state.

The Secretary of State's Business Division FAQ, citing O.C.G.A. § 14-11-209, identifies four categories eligible to serve as a Georgia LLC's registered agent:

  • An individual who is a resident of Georgia
  • A domestic corporation
  • Another domestic limited liability company
  • A foreign corporation or foreign LLC holding a certificate of authority to transact business in Georgia

Questions about GA Registered Agent.org

Answers from our FAQ and pricing pages.

What is a registered agent?

A registered agent is an individual or business entity designated to receive legal documents, service of process, and official state correspondence on behalf of your Georgia business. They serve as the official contact point for the Georgia Secretary of State and the courts.

When is Georgia's annual registration due?

Annual registrations are due between January 1 and April 1 each year. You have a three-month window to complete your filing. Missing this deadline can result in penalties and potential administrative dissolution.

What are Georgia's specific business hours requirements for registered agents?

Georgia requires registered agents to be available during business hours, specifically 9 AM to 5 PM on weekdays. This is more specific than many states' general "business hours" requirements.

What's included in the $99 annual fee?

Everything: a registered office address in Georgia, process service capture for Georgia, compliance reminders and alerts, online document portal access, and privacy protection. No hidden fees.

Renewals, cancellation and refunds

Ready when you are. Ordering takes about five minutes.

Registered agent service renews automatically for another year on each renewal date, unless you turn off auto-renewal or cancel in your online account, or give written notice at least 30 days before the renewal date. Renewal reminders go out about 60 days ahead.

You can cancel at any time from your online account or by contacting support. Cancelling does not by itself remove us as registered agent on the state record; a change of registered agent or resignation filing does that.

Anything already filed with the government is not refundable. Registered agent fees are not refundable once we or our partner have been appointed with the state. State fees are not refundable once paid to the state.
